Volunteers across East Texas are coming together to support an 8-year-old boy battling an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Easton Green was rushed to the hospital in March after experiencing breathing problems and was later airlifted to Children’s Medical Hospital in Dallas, where he has been receiving treatment.
As Easton prepares to return home, his weakened immune system has created an urgent need for a safe living environment. Volunteers from Hooks and surrounding communities initially planned to repair the family’s home but determined it was unsafe due to mold.
Now, a fundraiser through the Chloe’s Journey of Faith organization is underway to purchase a new mobile home for the family. Organizers say they are still about $19,000 short of their goal.
Easton is expected to return home soon and will continue chemotherapy treatments for the next three years.
