Deputies say 41-year-old Ashley Bryan Campbell took more than $37,000 from a local couple for a deck and landscaping project but never did the work or provided receipts.
Investigators say Campbell used two business names and showed misleading documents and photos taken from another company.
Campbell is already under indictment in Titus County in two other fraud cases involving unfinished construction projects.
He was released from the Bowie County jail on a $50,000 bond, and the case is now with 202nd District Judge John Tidwell.
