A Texarkana nonprofit is putting the finishing touches on a new recovery home for women as demand for addiction services continues to grow.
Haven Homes, a faith-based program more than a decade old, will soon open a larger facility with space for 28 women, including bedrooms, classrooms, a dining hall, and a library.
Leaders say the center will provide a safe place for women to heal, rebuild, and focus on recovery. The free 12- to 18-month program reports an 87% success rate and now receives requests from across Texas.
The new Haven Homes facility is expected to open by mid-December
