A felony probation violator is behind bars after a dangerous chase Sunday night that left two police vehicles destroyed and an officer hurt.
Wake Village Police say 39-year-old Christa Latham sped off from a traffic stop, then rammed a patrol SUV head-on, setting it on fire. She also struck a Nash Police unit, injuring the officer inside. Latham was arrested when her vehicle broke down.
She faces several felony charges, including aggravated assault on a peace officer, and her bond is set at $430,000.
