Officers responded around 3:45 p.m. to multiple 911 calls and found a 34-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and he was taken to Christus St. Michael for treatment.
Investigators identified 24-year-old Jack Nelson as the suspect. After briefly evading officers, Nelson later turned himself in and was booked into the Bi-State Jail on a charge of aggravated assault. His bond is set at $100,000.
