Governor Greg Abbott has congratulated the City of Texarkana on being named a Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community.

Governor Greg Abbott has congratulated the City of Texarkana on being named a Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community.

The designation recognizes Visit Texarkana’s efforts to grow tourism, create jobs, and attract visitors. State and local leaders say the honor highlights Texarkana’s welcoming spirit and the role tourism plays in strengthening the local economy.

Texarkana is now both a Tourism Friendly Texas and Film Friendly Texas certified community.
