A Texarkana woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop with her three young children in the vehicle.
30-year-old Tylisha Shunett Heath was pulled over June 20 for erratic driving near Terrace Lane and West 40th Street. Police say she initially claimed she had no ID, but then gave an insurance bill with her name on it.
When the officer returned to his car and discovered outstanding warrants, Heath allegedly drove off — obeying traffic laws — before stopping at her apartment complex.
Officers say she refused to provide her children's information, but their grandmother arrived and took custody.
Heath was arrested and is being held in the Bowie County jail on $169,000 bond.
