Texas A&M University-Texarkana is celebrating record enrollment this fall. University President Dr. Ross Alexander says the campus now has about 3,000 students, a 40 percent increase over the past two years—making TAMUT the fastest-growing campus in the A&M system.
He says the growth comes from focusing on local workforce needs, keeping tuition affordable, and investing in campus improvements. Not only are more students enrolling, but they’re also taking more classes. University leaders hope to grow enrollment to 5,000 students within the next two years.
